FN Dagen 2024
Create an engaging object-based poster (vector graphics) for the UN's "Global Goals."

Client: School assignment at Södertörn University. The task was carried out in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Aim: This task involved creating an engaging object-based poster (vector graphics) for the UN's "Global Goals." In addition to promoting the global goal, a specific art style was assigned as a foundation for the design.

During my research on the Bauhaus style, which I was assigned, I noticed how Bauhaus emphasizes contrasts, straight lines, and an expression reminiscent of architecture. The Bauhaus style also heavily incorporates bold colors, often using a single strong color to create contrast and a dominant feel. This was something I wanted to incorporate into my poster, both to capture the essence of the Bauhaus style and because I personally find the expression aesthetically appealing.
For my poster, I not only had to consider the Bauhaus style but also my assigned global goal: Gender Equality. I began by gathering information about gender equality, researching various symbols and expressions/quotes associated with it. Based on my research, I created a mood board to compile the sources of my inspiration, including color choices, shapes, and symbols that I felt could be effectively used in the poster.

I worked with orange and blue as the primary standout colors, along with more subdued gray and beige tones as secondary colors. This was done to create contrast and a more impactful and vibrant effect for the primary colors, which is also inspired by the Bauhaus style.
To create effective visual communication, something must stand out clearly and dominantly against the rest, whether through images, colors, or text.
